Technique: Trimmed bowl on potter’s wheel
Glaze: Ladle Charlie D White inside of the bowl, and dip bowls into St John’s Black. Clean off the bottom and rim to expose clay.
Note: I used a pawprint stamp inside the bowls to see how it would react with Charlie D White. Very nice…pawprints in snow! 15 Bowls.

Technique: Bowls were thrown and then their shapes were modified into pumpkins with stems and a mouse added.
Glaze: The raku glazing processes included: Terra sigillata on all three, copper sand with wax release on one, and horsehair on one, and saggar on another.
Note: Each piece was thrown and then altered to make a matching decorative set.

Glaze: Cone 10
Technique: Bowls on a potters wheel. 13 trimmed Sgraffito bells were thrown on potter’s wheel off the hump. Another 13 Sgraffito clappers were thrown to match each bell.
Glaze: Sgraffito on bells and clappers was enhanced using iron oxide whiped clean with a wet sponge before firing.
Note: Bells were assembled using copper wire.
