Family Bowls

Claybody: Studio Clay, 4 lbs
Bisque: Cone 04
Glaze: Cone 10
Technique: Bowl on a Potter’s Wheel, Colored Slip, Sgraffito Designs
Glaze: Paint white slip on first coat and then a scattered coat of black slip. When leather hard carve crosses in each bowl. Bisque fire. Then glaze interior with Charlie D White.
Assignment/Note: After the four bowls are trimmed but still leather hard, decorated with colored slip, carved (sgraffito technique) a story in each to tie them together.
